MAC: High Tea Collection

Release Date: December 26th, 2004

The MAC High Tea Collection is packed full of new products. You’ll be able to glam up from head to toe in a sophisticated way. It has a little of something from nail color to mascara and everything in between.

I am a big fan of soft pink colors and this collection has plenty of them. The frosty pinks offer a soft elegant look, but if you want to make a bolder statement for the winter, there are plenty of reds and greens with a bit of gold, silver, and bronze.

I don’t always bother investing in nail polish, but I just might have to try the new Eccentrici-tea simply because the name is beyond clever, even for MAC. I can’t wait to see what a pink nail polish with green pearl accents will look like.

This collection has a lot to offer, maybe even a little too much. I personally like it when the collection is just a little more focused, but maybe that’s just because the big ones end up hurting my wallet too much! Anyhow review to complete product list to pick your favorites.

MAC: Fantabulous Collection

Release Date: November 26th, 2004

MAC is releasing a new collection fit for a star. In honor of American Idol winner Fantasia Barroni’s debut album “Free Yourself” two fabulous lipglosses have been created. You can choose which color suits you best. Either way, the collection will help you support the star while looking like one yourself.

The line has two lipglass colors “Fantabulous 1 and Fantabulous 2”. Both colors are rich and bold. The first is an orange copper color and the second is a deep reddish bronze. If you want to make a bold statement with your lip color one of these two will do the trick.

I understand that this is a mini-sized collection. I just kind of wish MAC would have come up with a couple of more lipglass colors since I don’t really go for the orange and bronze colors. I think that something with a lighter pink or even more neutral creme color would have been a nice addition to the collection.

Lipglass

Fantabulous 1—orange copper
Fantabulous 2—deep reddish bronze

MAC: Fine ‘N Dandy Collection

Release Date: November 11th, 2004

MAC’s collection “Fine ‘N Dandy” has some great options to enhance the first impression you make. The collection focuses on your lips and your scent. It also offers pigment options for those looking to change or enhance the hues of their skin tone.

Whether you prefer a lipstick or a lipglass, lusterglass or gloss, you’ll be able to find it in this collection. The colors range from a traditional soft pink to a bolder green/yellow with gold and silver enhancements.

This collection also includes some of MAC’s signature fragrances. I am most excited to try the MV2 fragrance. It is getting rave reviews. The warm, spicy vanilla scent is described as having a touch of lemon with it. It sounds like it is a very fresh scent and I am excited to try it. I just might have a new favorite. Check out the details of all this collection has to offer.

I also think the pigments look interesting. I am not the type to use pigments on an every day basis, but for a once in a while enhancement I think they are great. I think the color “Rose” could be really pretty on. I am excited to see if it works for me.

MAC: Charms Collection

Release Date: November 11th, 2004

Charms is the upcoming MAC collection. Oddly enough, there aren’t any accessories being offered in this collection. With a name like Charms, I would have thought some kind of an accessory to fit the name would be included. That being said, there are a whole bunch of products that are being offered in this collection, many of which I am extremely excited about.

The first product is the Lipglass Tasti. Anything with the name tasti is good in my book as long as it lives up to its name. Need I say more? Of course I will say more, that’s how excited I am about this product. It’s being offered in four different colors/flavors; Caramel Frostee, Cina-bon-bon, Sugar Spin, and Sweet Brule. I want to try all four of them. Thank goodness MAC has also included five different limited edition kits with this collection and one of them contains all four Lipglass Tastis.

I love that MAC is offering kits. I think it’s a great way for us to get what we want. Among the other kits offered is one called 4 Paints and inlcudes, Stillife, Mauvism, Chartru, and Artjam. Leave it to MAC to up the level of fun with makeup. You don’t simply apply these products, you get to paint them on, creating whatever picture you want. They are interesting, fun, unique and true to MAC.

MAC: Sateens Collection

Release Date: November 4th, 2004

Thanks to MAC’s Sateen collection, we now have something to keep our makeup in that’s just as sassy as the makeup itself. MAC is releasing new accessory bags in three different sizes, petite, mid size, and max size.

The biggest one is large enough to be used as a purse. If you are looking for something small and sleek to keep your lipstick or touch up makeup in, than the petite size would be just the thing.

The bags are one solid color, with a black strip around the base and top where the zipper is at. The black strip has the MAC logo across it. There are several different colors to choose from, but not every size comes in every color. The largest accessory only comes in brown. The mid size comes in three colors, and the petite size is offered in five different colors. This is a limited edition so act fast if want one.

Sateen Accessories

Max Size—Brown
Mid Size—Lavender, turquoise, brown
Petite Size—Lavender, blue, chartreuse, pink, turquoise

MAC: Adorn Collection

Release Date: October 21th, 2004

Adorn yourself with beauty and be adored with MAC’s new collection Adorn. It is packed full of products, many of which are limited edition. The pigments, mascara, lip pencils, and the lipglass color Courting Rose are the only products that aren’t limited edition.

I’ve never tried any of MAC’s Shimmersouffles, but they look interesting. They are described as a light glittery powder to offer a sparkle effect. I think it would be a fun product to try for the winter time to give just a hint of shimmer to your holiday fun. Of all of the products offered, the one luckiest to carry the collection name is a shimmersouffle. That might say something. “Adorn” is light beige tan with glitter. I just might have to try it out.

I am not usually drawn to the nail lacquers, but there is something about “Violet Femme” that makes me want to try it. Maybe it is just the fact that the name is so powerful. Or maybe it is the purple amethyst color it promises. Either way, I think I am sufficiently sold on it.

There are five different eyeshadows offered in this collection. Honestly, none of them look that great to me. The colors are deep brownish red, bright purple, light tan, light greenish blue, and off-white. Maybe some of the colors will work well for some of you, but they aren’t great options for me.

Overall, there seems to be a little something to please everyone. Take a look at all of the products being offered and pick out your favorites.
