MAC: Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Collection

Release Date: February 5th, 2009

What makes the topography of an interesting face so compelling? The shapes, forms and planes are often made, not born. The secrets of sculpting features, creating volumes where they were once lacking, defining areas that didn’t seem so important, all but hold the power of transformation in your hands! Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation and Studio Sculpt Concealer put infinite possibility at your fingertips! 191 Square Foundation Brush is state-of-the-art application for foundation, 195 Concealer Brush finishes with ultimate precision. Among the finest tools we have.

Have you ever wondered how models and movie stars seem to have all of their best features played up and all of their worst features played down beautifully by their makeup? Makeup artists seem to be able to create dimensions and define areas that are so important. MAC’s new collection, Well Defined, offers the tools that the artists use to create perfection.

The collection contains a new line of foundations and concealers. Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation is a new gel-based foundation. The gel based formula allows for the foundation to blend easily giving a flawless finish. It works for all skin types, but it’s supposed to be especially suited for dry, sensitive skin. My skin seems to dry out easily so I am excited to try this new foundation.

The new Studio Sculpt Concealer is also a gel based formula. It’s a full coverage concealer that won’t get too dry and crack. I hate the way a typical concealer feels by the end of the day; it seems to show every wrinkle in my skin because it’s dried up. I hope so much that this concealer delivers what it claims to. I’ve needed something like this for so long. There are plenty of colors offered so matching it to your skin should be no problem no matter what your skin tone is.

MAC recommends that for best results you apply the foundation and concealer with the proper brushes. This will allow for the flawless finish we all want. Thankfully, MAC has included brushes in the line as well. Below I’ve listed what the entire line contains. Oh my wallet might not ever forgive me after this line hits!

Studio Sculpt Concealer (it comes in a container similar in size and shape to MAC’s paint pots): NC15, NC20, NC30, NC35, NC42, NC45, NC50, NW15, NW20, NW25, NW30, NW35, NW40, NW45, NW50

I was introduced to studio sculpt about 6 weeks ago by a MAC make up artist and loved the look and texture. The shade appropriate for my skin is NW30. I however have not been able to purchase any as the MAC stores in Cape Town that I have enquired at, being V&A Waterfront, Cavendish Square and Canal Walk, have not yet received stock of NW30. Please advise where I can get some from?

    Kind regards

I buy my MAC in there online store. I hope this helps you. They should have that shade online. It should not be a problem since you know what shade you need.
      Hope this helps,
